EDIT: I'm sorry if I wasn't clear in my wording - by "tail on the back" I mean a screen print drawing of a tail printed on the pack of the shirt (just like the front) there will be an image on the front and the back of this t-shirt. Sorry for the confusion.


Feedback on the new t-shirt and hoodie has been awesome! Thank you everyone for your support! I got a couple of comments suggesting I add a tail to the back of the puppy belly t-shirt. This would be a new concept and something we haven't done before. Looking into costs I figure I can do this - but it might raise the price of the shirt (only by $1 or $2 dollars). Should I do it? Would you be more likely to buy one if I did or do you not care either way? Please vote on this poll to help me decide! I want to bring to the market something fun and original and I can only do that with your feedback! Thanks!

It is the time again - fall is upon us and RooGear is planning for their next big project to debut at Midwest Furfest (MFF) '09!

Along with the styles we had at AC, we'll be adding a new shirt to our clothesline - the Puppy Belly!





In addition to the new shirt we will also be offering for the first time ever, a hoodie! It will be a navy blue pullover hoodie with the following logo placed on the front chest:

Hello faithful friends!

This week I shipped out the shirts that were ordered at AC. Thanks for waiting guys - sorry I ran out of some sizes at the con.

In other news - I will be attending Megaplex! Sadly I was unable to snatch up a dealer's table :( However, I do have a fresh new stack of shirts and want to sell them!

If you are attending Megaplex and would like a shirt - just note me! I will gladly meet up with you :)

Anthrocon is almost here!! Is everyone exited as I am?

I've been busting my tail trying to get everything packed up and to the hotel for Thursday. The stock looks GREAT and I'm really excited to see people walking around in these shirts :) I will remind everyone you can find me at the Surf Cat Costumes table in the dealer's den (table C01). Come say hi to me ---- and of course check out my t-shirts :) Quantity is limited so don't delay!

I threw my roommate Zell in them so I can post pictures of how they fit. Oh yea - and model not included with purchase ;)

Anthrocon is almost upon us!

I apologize for being vague on t-shirt prices, it has been a bit of a struggle trying to come up with the right price. All parties involved with RooGear have been pondering for awhile now on what would be a good price to offer our costumers. While we want to provide our product at a fair value we must also take into consideration the quality of our work and what we believe it to be worth.

The artwork behind our shirts have been long thought out and executed with the highest level of talent and professionalism there is to offer. Proper reimbursement for that talent must be accounted for when pricing our items. In addition we strive to give you fine quality screen print shirts. The shirts are professionally printed and produced, but this is not an easy task with a small staff.

Taking all of this in to account we have decided to price the shirts at $20.00 each.

However, this will allow us to provide a discount to those wishing to purchase multiple shirts. If you buy more than one shirt at a time, the first shirt will be the normal $20 dollars, but each additional shirt(s) after that will only be $18 dollars :) (please add $2 for XXL shirts)

I still plan to release the shirts online after the con - prices and more information on that will be posted after the convention.

I'm getting a lot of inquiries about shirt sizes and availability.

Just to let you all know for right now I have a limited amount that will only be for sale at Anthrocon '09.

But don't worry! If you're not going to Anthrocon, these shirts will be available to buy online after the convention! :)

The sizes for sale at Anthrocon are S-XXL. However, after the con the online orders will ofter sizes XS-4XL.

As mentioned at the start of this post, my quantity at the con is limited so be sure to visit me the first day if you want a shirt! Table C01 Surf Cat Productions/Costumes!

IF we do run out of a shirt you like, or you'd like to give one as a gift to someone who didn't make it to the con, I am also taking mail orders at our table as well! :)

Welcome to Roo Gear!

I'm best known in the fandom as raspberryroo and this is a new journal for my fandom side project.

About Roo Gear

Roo Gear was an idea brewed up with the help and support of sophiecabra / surfcatcostumes. I've been itching to play a bigger part in this fandom, and I have so many ideas I wish to bring to life.

My first con debut will be Anthrocon 2009. Since this idea is still new and fresh, I'm getting my feet wet by being an assistant for www.surfcatcostumes.com and selling all products through them currently. In other words, think of AC as my "soft opening". I would also like to mention that sophiecabra is the amazing artist behind the upcoming shirts :) She will be open for badges at this table as well :)

I will be selling 3 different t-shirts and a few glow products. Add this journal to your friend's list and keep watching! I plan to post all items here prior to the con! As more projects and cons arise I will turn to this journal for votes, raffles, and even give-aways! Hopefully in the future you will be able to turn here for information on how to obtain an item outside of attending a furry convention :)
